The is now accepting applications for the summer 2019 Inasmuch Community Fellowship.
The foundation is looking for hard-working undergraduate college students who are passionate about making Oklahoma City a better place to work, live, and play.
To that end, the fellowship embeds college students at nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma City. Students accepted into the program will work with Inasmuch Foundation staff to find the best nonprofit to work for during the summer. Each year, the program partners with new organizations and matches them with fellows based on interest and fellows' skill sets. In the past, Allied Arts, Boys and Girls Club, the United Way, ReMerge, the Oklahoma City Museum of Arts, Lyric Theatre, Palomar, and the Oklahoma City National Memorial, to name a few, have hosted Inasmuch Community Fellows.
Nonprofit hosts use their fellows differently, so fellows should expect to perform a wide range of tasks, depending on placement. The hourly pay may depend on the nonprofit partner but typically is $12 per hour.
Community Fellows also will be registered in the Greater Grads: Intern OKC program organized by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. Intern OKC includes an afternoon kickoff and four weekly lunches where interns network with peers, develop resources for the transition from college to career, and discover why Oklahoma City is the perfect place to live after graduation.
The 2019 internship program will run between May 28 and August 2, 2019.
