The American Head and Neck Society sponsors several research grants both as an individual society and in conjunction with the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
AHNS currently is accepting Letters of Intent for its Pilot Grants program. Through the program, AHNS awards grants of up to $10,000 in support of basic, translational, or clinical research projects in head and neck oncology. Clinical or translational research studies are strongly encouraged and should be specifically related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, outcomes, or pathophysiology of head and neck neoplastic disease.
To be eligible, applicants must reside in the United State or Canada and be a medical student, resident, PhD, or faculty member at the rank of associate professor or below.
LOIs must be received no later than December 17. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application by January 15, 2019.
See the AHNS website for guidelines, facing pages, and LOI instructions, as well as information about other grant opportunities.
