The is accepting applications to its 2019 Bush Fellows program.
Since 1965, the foundation has worked to develop the leadership capacity of the region it serves by making investments in individuals through its fellowship programs. The Bush Fellowship provides an opportunity for individuals in the region to increase their capacity for leadership by pursuing learning experiences that will increase their knowledge and help them develop important leadership skills and attributes, especially in the areas of communications, self-awareness, creativity, cultural competency, and cross-sector leadership. A Bush Fellowship is intended to give fellows access to learning experiences that wouldn’t otherwise be accessible.
Fellowships are for up to $100,000 and can be used over twelve to twenty-four months. Funds can be used to cover expenses such as tuition, fees for workshops and seminars, travel, and purchases of equipment needed to carry out the fellowship.
To be eligible, all applicants must be at least 11 years old at the time of application; be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States; and have lived for one continuous year immediately prior to the application deadline in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, or one of the twenty-three Native nations that shares the same geographic area.
