NEA Foundation Invites Applications for Learning and Leadership Grant Program

The , the charitable arm of the National Education Association, supports student success by helping public school educators work with key partners to build strong systems of shared responsibility. The foundation, through the strength of its partnership with educators, advances student achievement by investing in public education that prepares each of America's children to learn and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Through its Learning and Leadership program, the foundation awards grants of up to $2,000 to public school teachers, public education support professionals, and/or faculty and staff at public institutions of higher education for participation in high-quality professional development experiences such as summer institutes or action research. It also awards grants of up to $5,000 in support of group projects related to collegial study, including study groups, action research, lesson study, or mentoring experiences for faculty or staff new to an assignment.

To be eligible, applicants must be a public school educator in grades pre-K-12, public school education support professionals, or faculty and staff at public higher education institutions. The foundation encourages applications from education support professionals; preference will be given to members of the National Education Association.
