supports public programming with the humanities at its heart, inspiring organizations to explore innovative programs that spark dialogue, engage new audiences, and stimulate the thoughtful exchange of ideas.
To that end, MD Humanities is accepting applications from Maryland nonprofit organizations and schools for its Mini Grant program. Through the program, grants of up to $1,200 will be awarded to support public humanities, documentary film, and civic education projects/initiatives designed to engage and benefit Marylanders. Priority will be given to the programming needs of smaller institutions and underserved audiences.
Applicants must be a nonprofit organization, school, or government entity. In addition, applicants must demonstrate that they have matching funds (cash or in-kind) equal to the funds requested.
The program will begin accepting applications on February 1, with a final deadline of March 1, 2018.
See the Maryland Humanities website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
