Background: Launched by Foundation Center in 2015 in partnership with the and the , Foundation Funding for U.S. Democracy provides visitors with a variety of tools enabling them to document funding for a range of democracy-related activities in areas such as civic participation, the media, and campaigns, elections, and voting. The site was re-designed earlier this year and currently reflects more than $2.4 billion in funding for democracy since 2011 from more than 1,110 grantmakers.
