Funded in part by the San Jose-based , the CK-12 Foundation is working to build a collaborative online environment that facilitates the production of free educational content aligned with standards-based curriculum guidelines. The site can be customized for students' different needs and learning styles.

Outstanding Web Features:
Recognizing the need for a more flexible, less expensive system for delivering educational materials, CK-12 developed the FlexBook model — an online, open-content alternative to traditional textbooks. can watch a and before creating their own . The FlexBooks can then be shared with students and teachers as PDFs or in print and can be modified or updated at any time.
