Mission: To mobilize a stronger, more effective movement for reproductive justice in the United States led by low-income women, women of color, and transgender people.

About the Organization: Founded in 2015, the  works to empower a reproductive justice movement with the capacity to drive meaningful policy reform and systems change. To that end, the grantmaking public charity supports more U.S. reproductive justice organizations annually than any other organization; believes that targeting resources to those most directly affected is the most effective way to achieve reproductive justice more broadly; and works to leverage funding for grassroots groups, which often lack the tools and technologies needed to "skill and scale" their work.

Current Programs: The organization's  include the , which uses donor outreach and matching grants to leverage and direct resources to groups led by women of color, low-income women, and transgender people and to build an organized grassroots base of support for reproductive justice; and the , which provides resources quickly and strategically to to critical campaigns and as key opportunities arise. The organization's  works to eliminate disparities in pregnancy and birth outcomes for women of color, low-income women, young women, and transgender people by expanding access to and advancing supportive policies that encourage culturally relevant birthing options.

Following the 2016 elections, Groundswell launched a  in support of effective grassroots organizing efforts led by women of color and transgender people of color. Launched with $500,000 initially, the fund will award grants based on the input of fifteen advisors — women leaders of color in fields ranging from environmental, racial, and economic justice, to immigrant, Native, and transgender rights.

The fund's work includes an program, a , and income diversification and organizational development initiatives.
