About the Organization: Since 1906, the  has worked to strengthen leadership, advocacy, and collaboration in the museum field through the development of , advocating for issues that affect all museums, and providing opportunities to museum staff and volunteers. The alliance is dedicated to ensuring that museums remain a vital part of the American landscape and connecting people with the greatest achievements of the human experience — past, present, and future. AAM's current focus areas include advancing  in all aspects of museum structure and programming; expanding the role of museums in an evolving ecosystem of P-12 ; and evolving museums' business models to ensure their .
