To support and preserve African American history by sponsoring educational, volunteer, and community-engagement programs in national parks and at historic sites.

A national fundraising organization of the congressionally chartered , AAEF supports programs at nineteen historic sites across the country, sharing little known facts and stories about African Americans and providing visitors with hands-on educational experiences.
