UPS Foundation Awards $14 Million for Humanitarian, Safety Efforts

The has announced grants and in-kind donations totaling more than $14 million to thirty organizations working to assist humanitarian relief and road-safety efforts around the world.

The foundation awarded grants to a range of relief organizations, including the , which will use the funds to expand , a humanitarian supply chain solution for tracking food and critical relief supplies; , which will use its grant to fund the rollout of a dashboard system aimed at helping ministries of health monitor and manage vaccine inventories; the ; , which will use its grant to provide emergency funding and capacity-building workshops for CARE logisticians in high-risk countries; and , which will use the funds to help disaster survivors with financial recovery solutions. The foundation also awarded grants to the , the , the , and the in support of road-safety initiatives.

In addition, the foundation is expanding its logistical support and technical assistance by making up to five UPS executives with experience with on-the-ground logistics available for long-term assignments with NGOs.
