Ounce of Prevention Receives $10 Million From Zell Family Foundation

The  has announced a $10 million gift from the to increase access to early childhood education for children from low-income families.

The largest gift ever to the organization will enable it to scale its programs and trainings in support of children’s development, especially during their formative learning years, by strengthening the capacity and skills of early learning professionals; equipping parents with tools and supports to become leaders of their families and communities; and advancing quality learning policies. A longtime supporter of childhood education, Helen Zell has served on the organization’s board of directors since 1996 and led its first capital campaign.
