Otto Bremer Trust Awards $10 Million in Regional Grants

The has announced a hundred and forty-four grants totaling nearly $10 million to nonprofits in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Grants awarded to Minnesota organizations include $60,000 to for the expansion of career advisory services to high school students in the Detroit Lakes area; $40,000 to the in support of food security programming for White Earth Nation youth; and $20,000 to A Place to Belong in support of services for people with serious and persistent mental illness living in Otter Tail and Becker counties.

Grants to organizations in North Dakota include $30,000 to the in support of its work to end veteran homelessness and ensure future homeless episodes are brief through housing assistance; $40,000 to the in support of its efforts to eliminate housing discrimination and ensure equal housing opportunities; and $45,000 to (Love is Sharing The Exceptional Need) in support of its efforts to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the state.

Recipient organizations in Wisconsin include the , which will receive $60,000 to provide a range of parenting services to families in Burnett County; the , which was awarded $25,000 in support of its SMRT Bus program; and the , which will receive $60,000 to expand its sexual assault services and support its registered nursing staff.
