The has announced fall 2017 grants totaling more than $4.2 million to organizations in New York City pursuing strategies and providing services that are integral to producing long-lasting change for women and girls.
In addition to $1 million in "resiliency" grants to twenty-two organizations that had been , the foundation administered an additional $2.52 million from the NYC Fund for Girls and Young Women of Color to forty-one groups working to build the leadership skills of young women and transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) youth of color. Through its Early Investment strategy, which is focused on assisting emerging community‐based organizations working in the areas of economic security, anti-violence and safety, and health, sexual rights and reproductive justice, the foundation awarded grants of $60,000 to nine organizations: , , , , , , , , and .
And through its NYWF - IGNITE! initiative, which invests in community-based organizations created by and for girls and young women of color, the foundation awarded grants totaling $150,000 to the ($60,000), ($60,000), and the Lilly Awards - The New York Women's Foundation Apprenticeship Award ($30,000).
