National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy Announces Inaugural Impact Award Winners

The has announced the recipients of its inaugural .

The program seeks to honor grantmaking organizations that NCRP believes have shown effectiveness, leadership, and innovation in solving some of the nation's most difficult challenges. Awards were made in four categories, including large private foundations, small/mid-size private foundations, grantmaking public charities, and corporate foundations.

Selected from a pool of organizations nominated by the general public and then narrowed by NCRP, the 2013 award winners are the , the , the , and the . The organizations will be honored for their "smart, high-impact philanthropy" at NCRP's annual conference in Chicago next month.

"These awardees have inspired me and so many of you in their effectiveness, courage, and leadership in helping solve the tough problems our world faces," said NCRP executive director Aaron Dorfman. "They prioritize and empower the vulnerable, supporting policy and community engagement to come up with long-term solutions.
