Maltz Jupiter Theatre Receives $5 Million Matching Challenge Grant

The in Florida has received a $5 million matching challenge grant from the in support of its expansion plans, reports.

The gift will provide a one-to-one match of gifts toward a five-year, $11 million fundraising campaign in support of a major renovation of the theater's facilities, including a widening and deepening of its stage, enabling it to accommodate pre-Broadway reviews and national tours; the addition of a third-floor studio that allows visitors to watch actors rehearsing, a new two-hundred-seat space that provides for programmatic flexibility, and a VIP supper lounge; and a doubling in size of the theater's , enabling it to increase the number of local students enrolled in its arts education program.

Assuming the challenge is met, the Maltz family and their foundation will have donated more than $20 million in support of the theater, including a three-to-one matching challenge in 2012 that helped it establish a $10 million endowment.
