Lindenwood University Receives $2 Million From Charles Koch Foundation

The largest grant in the university's history will enable it to advance the institute's efforts to foster free enterprise and civil and religious liberty through the examination of market-oriented approaches to economic and social issues. Specifically, the grant will support research, conferences, and speakers at the institute and also provide for the hiring of new faculty and an administrator.

"We were excited when Lindenwood approached us for support, given the good work the scholars there are doing to better understand critical barriers to opportunity that stand in the way of success for so many in today’s society," said Koch Foundation president Brian Hooks. "We are glad this contribution will help them continue their work on these important issues such as the consequences of corporate welfare and the challenges of America's criminal justice system."
