Irvine Foundation Awards $9.1 Million in Grants

The has announced grants totaling $9.1 million in support of efforts to expand opportunities for the people of California.

Made through its and programs, the foundation awarded a grant of $900,000 to in support of voter outreach efforts and a grant of $825,000 to . in support of that organization's efforts to broaden engagement of underrepresented groups in public decision-making through in three California cities.

The foundation also awarded $5 million to so that it can continue its support for the and transition it from the demonstration phase to statewide implementation; $1.3 million to the to strengthen and expand a regional Linked Learning system; and $1.1 million to the to improve high school-to-college transition rates in two California Linked Learning regions.
