Gulf Coast Community Foundation Awards $2.7 Million in Fourth-Quarter Grants

The Gulf Coast Community Foundation in Venice, Florida, has announced fourth-quarter grants totaling more than $2.7 million.

Awards included $173,415 in community grants of up to $10,000 in support of nonprofits in the region. The majority of grants, however, were awarded from donor-advised funds administered by the foundation and through the foundation's community grants program, which is supported by unrestricted and field-of-interest funds. The foundation also awarded $26,623 in grants through its GulfCoastGives site, which funds "urgent" projects at local charities and is supported primarily by online contributions.

Grant recipients include the Cape Cod Foundation, the Healthy Start Coalition of Manatee County, Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Temple Israel of Detroit, and the Tickets for Kids Foundation.
