Guggenheim Foundation Announces 2019 Fellows

The  in New York City has announced its 2019 class of fellows.  

Fellowships were awarded to a hundred and sixty-eight scholars, artists, and writers in forty-nine artistic fields and scholarly disciplines. Selected from nearly three thousand applicants on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise, this year’s fellows hail from twenty-eight states and the District of Columbia, as well as two Canadian provinces, and range in age from twenty-nine to eighty-five.

The 2019 fellows include poet Robin Coste Lewis, composer Sandeep Das, linguist Gennaro Chierchia, neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett, filmmaker Yance Ford, historian Ibram X. Kendi, constitutional scholar Brad Snyder, interdisciplinary artist Hồng-Ân Trương, fiction writer Luis Alberto Urrea, and biologist Patricia J. Wittkopp.
