Forest Park Forever Receives $20 Million for St. Louis Park

, a private park conservancy, has announced a $20 million gift from James S. McDonnell III, his wife, Libby, and the in support of projects to improve Forest Park in St. Louis.

Spread over several years, the gift expands the role of Forest Park Forever to preserve work done in recent years, advance much-needed park-wide capital projects and repairs, and bolster the park's endowment fund. To those ends, the funder will increase its annual investments in the part and support the next phase of restoration projects called for in the Forest Park Master Plan.

Hoffarth. "We are humbled by their generosity, their belief in our mission and the genuine love their family has for these beloved thirteen hundred acres."
