The Denver-based has announced that it awarded $55.9 million in grants and scholarships in 2017, boosting its grantmaking since it was established in 2000 to more than $761 million.
The 2017 total includes $38.8 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, as well as select national organizations. Across the four-state region, the foundation also awarded $17.1 million in scholarships through two programs: the , which provides college scholarships to deserving high school seniors, and the program, which provides funding to participating colleges for scholarships to non-traditional students.
