In the first three days after the launch of the website, Isla Vista Screen Printing received more than a thousand orders. In total, the fund received more than $92,700, all of which was distributed through Direct Relief to those injured in the shooting and the families of the slain.

The Traer Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $37,319 in the year to date, the Traer Star-Clipper reports. Recipients include Christian Hands Across Traer, North Tama Community School, the Traer Historical Museum, and the Winding Stairs Festival.

The North Newton Community Foundation, an affiliate of , has announced nine grants totaling nearly $5,000. Recipients include the Kauffman Museum, Heston-Bethel Performing Arts, Community Playschool, and Peace Connections/Circles of Hope.

The program combines traditional civic education, guided experiential civic education, and youth leadership development, with the goal of creating an engaged citizenry capable of effective participation in the civic process, their communities, and the broader society. The League of Women Voters Civic Education Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation will assist teachers in initiating or expanding civic education opportunities for their students.
