Carnegie Corporation of New York Awards $33 Million in 4Q Grants

The has announced thirty-seven grants totaling more than $33 million.

Fourth-quarter grants awarded through the foundation's International Program include a final grant of $5 million over three years to the  for fellowships in the humanities in Africa; $400,000 over two years to the  in support of its efforts to strengthen the U.S.-Russia nuclear security regime; and $550,000 over two years to the  for a project on building political legitimacy and citizenship in the Arab world.

Grants awarded through the foundation's National Program include $3 million over three years to  in support of its ongoing efforts to scale promising Next Generation Learning school designs; $500,000 over two years to  in support of an initiative to coordinate national-, state-, and local-level grantmaking efforts; and $300,000 over fifteen months to the  in support of the organization’s efforts to build its capacity for data collection and analysis.
