Candid, Hispanics in Philanthropy Document Scope of Latinx Funding

and have announced the release of , a new dashboard and ongoing research project that documents the landscape of foundation funding for the Latinx community and tracks changes in its scale and priorities.

With an initial focus on philanthropy's support for Latinx populations across the U.S. and its territories over a five-year period, 2013-2017, LATINXFunders is designed to help the sector more accurately target resources and support long- and short-term strategies designed to build prosperity for all Latinx communities. The site looks at funders' interests and priorities from different angles to identify patterns and changes and allows Latinx funders to share their data to help complete the funding picture and better inform decision making.

"We've been working in partnership with Candid to create this powerful tool that is easy, accessible, and user-friendly. With this dashboard, we can identify and compare years and changes in philanthropic funding in the Latinx community. We can compare geographies, strategies, and issue areas to identify gaps and opportunities," said HIP president and CEO Ana Marie Argilagos. "We need this dashboard because the numbers and trends in giving to us have remained static in the Latinx communities. We now have a tool to be able to hold our philanthropic partners and institutions accountable, and we don't need to wait five years for an update.
